Our Team

David Pocock

During his decade and a half as a professional rugby player, David established a reputation for integrity and hard work, garnering praise for his consistency and standout performances.

Outside rugby, David co-founded EightyTwenty Vision, partnering with a rural Zimbabwean community development organisation to deliver food security programs and develop health infrastructure.

He has worked on conservation projects in both Zimbabwe and Australia, with a particular interest in the intersection of agriculture and conservation. David is studying a Master of Sustainable Agriculture.

 

Methuseli Maphala

Methuseli is an experienced and skilled Community Based Natural Resources Management Conservation (CBNRMC) facilitator.

He believes that CBNRMC sustainability can only be achieved if communities and their institutions are able to make collective decisions.  His work is informed by the principle of developing effective community representative institutions to achieve sustainable CBNRMC.

Methuseli has nearly three decades of experience implementing and managing CBNRMC programmes, Rural Development programmes, and community-based sustainable livelihood development. He has worked for the Forestry Commission of Zimbabwe, 18 years in the non-government sector and as an independent consultant since 2015. Methuseli’s facilitation experience includes stakeholder engagement and facilitation lead, capacity building including institutional development, strategy consultation, project and programme management. 

 

Anna Haw

Anna is a wildlife veterinarian and Stanford MBA graduate. Her diverse background has given her experience in multiple disciplines including research, wildlife conservation, teaching and business management.

Anna’s PhD contributed to rhino conservation where her findings led to improved immobilization protocols for white rhino. She has also worked with livestock farmers in South Africa and Namibia to implement non-lethal predator control measures. 


Anna has strong interests in natural capital accounting and valuing ecosystem services, and broadened her network and expertise in this area while working for the Natural Capital Project. 

Paul Trethowan

Paul is a Rhodes Scholar with a strong background in wildlife conservation and corporate consultancy. Paul completed his PhD in Zoology with Oxford University’s world-renowned Wildlife Conservation Research Unit in 2016.

He worked as the General Manager of a wildlife Ranch in Zimbabwe and as the chief ecologist for Bubye Valley Conservancy from 2011-2016.

More recently, Paul gained business experience working as a management consultant and project manager with McKinsey & Company. At McKinsey Paul worked on teams advising some of the largest global organisations on strategic, financial, and commercial decisions.

Steven Pocock

Steve is an international development professional. He has worked across Papua New Guinea, Indonesia, Australia, the United States and southern Africa leading high-level engagement with the private sector, government, and civil society to generate shared value and sustainable outcomes. 

Steve previously led an Australian Government-funded development program in Papua New Guinea, focused on economic diversification through private sector development and growth. Prior to that, he served as Chief of Staff of a newly established development facility in Papua New Guinea. He was responsible for strategy development and led the design of over $100 million/year in development assistance.

Anna-Clare Zanetti

Anna-Clare is an international development professional with a keen interest in gender transformative change. She has most recently worked in Papua New Guinea on an Australian Government funded development program focusing women’s political leadership, economic empowerment, and the national response to and prevention of family and sexual violence.

Previously Anna worked in cross-sectoral gender advisory roles within Australian Government facilities, and communications and recruitment across multiple industries. Anna-Clare is a student of social science with a focus on gender transformative development approaches.

SIYANAI ZINGWENA

With over eleven years’ experience delivering community food security and economic development interventions, Siyanai is an experienced developmental professional.

Siyanai has worked across Zimbabwe in the private and not-for-profit sector supporting agricultural based (livestock) and off farm livelihood improvement programs, with a focus on small holder agri-business development.

princess Chibi

Born and raised in Beitbridge District, Princess has worked in health services, and retail and hospitality industries. She grew up around rural small-scale agricultural livestock and crop production, and has a keen interest in community-led farming and wildlife resource management.

 

MTHULISI DUBE

Mthulisi has nearly a decade’s experience supporting the economic and social development of Beitbridge District in the public, private and not-for-profit sectors.

Mthulisi’s work has focused on agricultural and livestock based livelihood development and emergency food insecurity response for rural farmers. Mthulisi has a BSc in Agribusiness.

Lovemore has over four decades' experience in executive management, policy development and front-line wildlife conservation across Zimbabwe.

 

GODFREY KOTI

Godfrey is seasoned public relations executive and national radio and television presenter. He has over a decade’s experience supporting Zimbabwe's National Tourism Authority, national sporting bodies, and leading newspapers and radio stations.

 

TRACY ANGELIDAKIS

Tracy is an experienced wildlife conservation charity treasurer, secretary and auditor. She has nearly a decade’s experience administering Zimbabwean conservation trusts.

ANDILE SONGO

Andile has an MBA with 10 years' experience in national and regional operations, logistics and supply chain management.

ANGELA MUTUTU

Angela is a Zimbabwean Australian public sector administrator with experience across Industry, Science, Energy and Resources, and Home Affairs.
